This cycle of take, make, waste has led to an astonishing 120 billion units of beauty packaging produced annually. Almost all this waste ends up suffocating our oceans and overloading our landfills. This linear model is not just inefficient; it's destructive, contributing massively to our industry's carbon footprint.

But let me assure you—there is hope, and it lies in a circular economy. This isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a transformative approach that reimagines our systems. It’s about reusing what we already have, keeping materials in circulation, and creating a waste-free beauty industry. This model has the potential to reduce our carbon emissions by up to 70%. Yes, 70%.

Most beauty packaging isn’t recycled due to economic constraints—it ends up in landfills. It’s a sobering reality that demands urgent change.

At Poetry Skincare, we refused to accept this status quo. We believe in a future where our actions match our values. We embarked on a journey to find circular solutions, using PET recycled plastic, recyclable PET and recycled glass in our packaging. We proudly stand as a beacon of circular design with the aim as a startup business of 100% carbon-positive product range.
